The FCA has updated the temporary permissions regime ("TPR") page of its website. The update states that EEA fund managers are now able to notify the FCA if they wish to use the TPR. Any notifications submitted to the FCA must be submitted via the FCA's Connect system and be received by the end of 30 December 2020.

The update further clarifies that fund managers that want to update any previously submitted notifications should email the FCA by the end of 9 December 2020 at the latest.

Fund managers should then expect to be able to submit their updated notification from 14 December 2020, which must be received by the FCA before the end of 30 December 2020.

If new funds have been added to a fund manager's population since the earlier notification was submitted, the FCA states that new funds will not be included in the TPR unless the fund manager updates their notification.
